Robert Wellington Taylor
Robert W. Taylor, 78, of Mauldin, South Carolina, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 13, 2019.
He is survived in life by his adoring wife, Barbara A. Taylor; daughters, Angela Taylor Howell (David), and Pamela Ayers Brown (Roger); siblings, Dr. S. Wallace Taylor, Thelma T. Hawkins, and P. Michael Taylor; and grandchildren, Alicia D. Dickerson (Kendall), Bradley T. Brown (Megan), Christian D. Brown (Jessica), Katherine E. Howell, and William Taylor Howell; great-grandchildren, Hannah C. Brady, Trace G. Dickerson, Cooper Jackson Brown, and TY Dacus Brown.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Spartan and Lois Taylor.
Robert loved Furman, playing golf, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday school, and working on mission trips with youth at First Baptist Mauldin.
He will be remembered for his gentle and generous nature, his servant’s heart, and his love of helping others.
Robert graduated from Furman University, upon graduation he worked for State Farm where he eventually retired after 35 years of service as a claims adjuster.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at First Baptist Mauldin from 10:00 am – 11:30 am the memorial service will follow beginning at 12:00 noon.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Baptist Mauldin Mission Trips.
