Worship Administrative Assistant 2022
Purpose:
The “Worship Administrative Assistant” position exists at MFB for the purpose of glorifying God and serving the needs of the worship ministry at MFB.
Implications:
- Ministry needs change, and the role of “Worship Administrative Assistant” will accommodate and navigate those changes; some tasks may be added and some may be dropped
- Servant attitude is critical and personal character requirements for this position is high
- Individual skills are necessary in word processing, computer, and technology integration with other ministries and people (focusing on Planning Center Online and ProPresenter)
- Willingness to follow direction set by worship pastor
Accountability:
The “Worship Administrative Assistant” is accountable to the worship pastor at MFB, the direct supervisor for this position.
Technical Skills Needed: (software abilities: Planning Center Online, Word, Excel)
Responsibilities:
- Monitor musician schedules weekly with worship pastor and communication tasks that arise from scheduling (emails, texts, calls)
- Distribute and fill weekly musician music notebooks (these change weekly based upon scheduling)
- Proof-read OOW (Orders of Worship) for errors/inconsistencies
- Understand worship pastor’s communication style (summative/headline with expected fill in the information) and look for ways to enhance communication with the entire ministry team
- Tight coordination with choir librarian (LaVona Center presently) for service communication and music needed
- General cleanup and organization of all ministry areas that the worship ministry oversees
Hours/Compensation: Hourly wage will be competitive with experience and skillset. This job will start with 10-15 hours/wk that could grow to 20 hours/wk
